I would never play for a draw, regardless if that's all I needed.
Really? Even when you are 1 king vs. 9 queens, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights and 1 king, you would play for a win?
Besides the fact that that would never happen, I would've resigned 100 moves ago.

Ok, let's make it more realistic. If you were black and had a king on a8, while your opponent had a king on b6 and a pawn on a6, would you play for the win?
Yes, I'm going to play for a win in drawn position. ??? Are you really going to argue over semantics?
Suppose you are in a tournament playing against a grandmaster for a big prize. It is the final round, and you must draw this round to get the prize. (Winning is not necessary, but you must absolutely avoid a loss.) You have the Black pieces.
What opening would you play (or at least try to steer the game towards) if:
1. Your opponent (the grandmaster) plays 1e4?
2. Your opponent (the grandmaster) plays 1d4?
