E4 is better, as an opener against the counter D4.
Ok. Oh, wait, no.
A little tip is that in blitz and bullet, you really are better off just playing a move that looks reasonably natural 80% of the time. At least, if you've already been thinking for a few seconds. That "perfect positional move" is just not worth it, although grandmasters might still be able to find some of them haha. Just be content with lots of prosaic, crude moves, be as alert for tactics as you can, and it's simply the best you can do.
I love these sort of topics. The OP states something and everyone argues. Then the OP just sits around throwing insults or completely ignoring all reason. It's almost like the OP starts an argument for others.

you could stop tracking it, then you would not know when people post.
If you want to lock a forum it is best to post offensive pictures, or talk about how chess.com does not have a wikipedia article. Or pic one member to get into a troll war with. Or get into a religious or political debate.
Lol I've read it all and I must confess that I have just found two or three OP's interesting and sufficiently enlightening. Most part of it are just unnecessary argumentations, defending the other point of view. Having as difference only the fact that these are supported more delicately; in other words, are well founded, without using any banal vocabularies. Then, in this specific case, It's admissible that she uses her sincerity to express what she wants instead of "losing her tongue unnecessarily". Of course that it's not ideal.
However, the incredible is that people really assumes that her statement express she is the best one, she and her e4 in this case. And hence everyone starts arguing... without before trying to understand what she actually meant. She hasn't meant her e4 is "stronger" or anything else, just affirmed that maybe her e4 is more efficient ( oh yeah, that's the word she wanted to say) and not stronger... because we all know there's no stronger or weaker terms in chess, it all depends from the context. And also, as our dear ClavierCavalier already mentioned, why would she wish to start a tumult and bedlam without any enough reasons for it? why is she dumb? I don't think so, since she's 2000rating. And yet, if she would, why should you start? Her 'rude' actions doesn't justify any other rude actions over here.
Well, I don't intented to accuse anyone and if maybe someone has felt offended, I am really sorry. And then, again saying just to stress, not my intention at all. Just trying to be a little more clear with everyone.

Without saying anything about the OP's mental qualities, that sentence shows you haven't gone to many chess clubs. There are plenty of good chess players that are maybe not 'dumb' but at least, well, I guess 'autist' is the term.
If she was only expressing a preference, then that's fine, although I will say then that I have been fooled by her tone into thinking her claim is much stronger -- that she truly does believe that 1 e4 is simply the better move.
If she means that she merely prefers 1 e4 stylistically, rather than 1 e4 being the objectively best move, she can clear that up with another post.
Indeed, as I expressed earlier, it would be surprising that a 2000 would say what she is saying, but, correlation does not imply causation.

That is the economics of the brain. If you study math everyday and dont interact with people, why then you would you "magically" have an innate talent for socializing with people. In contrast, if you socialize with people all of the time, where would this natural inborn talent for logic come from. Therefore, when you Fk off and enjoy life all the time why should it surprise anyone when complex ideas are over-simplified into easy to digest anecdotal advice.
c4 has several advantages.
1. it is named after an explosive
2. English is better than italian or french
3. Its fun.
Bobby Fischer always played 1.e4. He called it “Best by test."
Bobby Fischer never said 1. e4 is best by test.

Positng the "C" word will also work. Maybe talk about someone named Rybka or Houdini playing games on chess.com...
