My favorite opening

So... Some of you may know, if you've played me before, that I like to play the Scandinavian Defense as Black. So he're why I like it, a common opening up to the middlegame, and some of the main ideas when using it.

Here a nice middlegame, where black can either castle kingside, to be safe if white has already started or threatened a pawnstorm, or queenside to create a position where both sides are attacking either sides.

So now you know what to do when you play me... nice

Scandinavian is nice.

No offense, I think it is just a worse caro-kann.

True. I'm studying Caro-Kann so I can get a better opposite-side castling position.

white has a nice plan based on playing Ne5-f4 and rook lift and go all ham on the kingside.

You opposite-side castle against me and you are likely mince meat!

Sure, it works in the Classical (3.Nc3), but that doesn't mean it works in all lines!  The Fantasy Variation is one of those where it doesn't really work.

The problem with the fantasy variation is that it's just fantasy, nobody plays it
