Sharpieman I suggest you analyze a few real openings. This might help you get a good understanding of how openings work and you will be able to fix your errors in openings.
My new opening

hey-this forum was made by a twelve year old
no need to spam such abusive messages across the forums just to get some point across
personally, i think this opening is great for a middle school 6th grade annual chess competition at Sklsjflskdjfdslkfjf middle, but there's no need to call preteens idiots just because they invented such an opening
i believe in you, sharpieman2, that you could create the next grandmaster use chess opening after yeras of hard work.

This thread is too entertaining to let die.
Why don't we all challenge Sharpy Man (the screen name says it all, I think) to a game? We can even let him use his new opening. We'll give it a battle testing.

Muhwahwahwa... I... 'volunteer' to 'teach' him first, frequent flyer... XD
Though good point on the 1996 date... site only allows 13 yr olds and up w/o parental guidance.
To Sharpie (even if he is a pretween twoll, I'll give him a chance): Still not listening to us eh adorable kid? Good attempt, but why not try to humble yourself for a bit and ask us about openings instead of claiming to know a lot about chess? It's a BAD opening. Now... ask us why ....Or else, you're gonna play all of us round robin XD

This just in; the young Mr Sharp has challenged me to a game so we have a game going now (on-line format, not "live"). We'll see how it turns out. Right now I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

OIT, no fair... I CLAIMED DIBS ON THE LITTLE SQUIRT!!!
LOL, fine fine, I'll play after he CRUSHES YOU FF... XD. Ashwath, as your gallant rival during our 243 past World Championship Matches, I see through your little tricks! I shall respond symmetrically, and you shall rue the day you picked the "McSharpie Opening, Completely Sound Play By A Nine Year Old I Swear Variation"!!! Muhwahwahwa....

I've a rather off topic question. Is the word "troll" (as used on the internet) derived from fishing or from the little monster that lives under the bridge?
This is the stupidest opening i have ever seen.
Guys, I have a new YouTube idea!!!!!!!!!
Lets show Karpov/Kasparov/any other famous master this new opening and then record how they puke, get a heart attack, faint, hyperventilate, remain stuck in toilet...!

According to the urban dictionary:
Troll: "One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument "

Thanks, frequent_flyer. But where's the etymology. I can see it coming from fishing--put a bunch of lines out and see if you can scare something up. But I can also see it as the little monster under the bridge getting people worked up.

Check this one out!
Haven't laughed as much in ages. This is completely hilarious. May i suggest a name for this opening....the Hokey Cokey variation. All together now... you put your kings knight in, your kings knight out, in out, in out, shake it all about.....

Thanks, frequent_flyer. But where's the etymology. I can see it coming from fishing--put a bunch of lines out and see if you can scare something up. But I can also see it as the little monster under the bridge getting people worked up.
After extensive research (okay, a couple minutes of Googling), I find that the old Norse myth of the troll (whether he's under the bridge or not) meant an "obnoxious creature bent on mischief and wickedness". Certainly anyone who would post deliberately provocative -- dare I say inciteful -- material on an otherwise peaceful forum (you know, like something about chess, maybe)... well, the etymology is there. I don't see a connection with fishing, unless you believe such a person should "sleep with the fishes" (see Puzo, 1969).
I cannot change my date of birth to 1999, which is the year I was born. 1996 is the most recent birth date I can put for my account.
