Need resources for the Ruy Lopez 5.d3

Hello everyone,

I'm switching to play the Ruy lopez 5.d3 system. I'm into this system to avoid the Berlin defense and the Open Ruy Lopez theory after 5.0-0 Nxe4.
So I would be more than happy if you could help me raise my game to the next level by providing me with some comprehensive resources for this system.

5.d3 is not very good as black hasn't committed the bishop. Black can either fianchetto on g7 or bring it to c5. Instead white should play 5.O-O Be7 6.d3. Of course 5.d3 is playable, but is the Open Spanish really that scary? Delaying d3 by one move still allows you to avoid all the theory of the Marshall, Breyer, Zaitsev etc.

Here's a game in which Nakamura fianchettoes his bishop as black:

The Move By Move volume on the Ruy by Neil McDonald has a nice section on the d3 Lopez lines.

Good call, recommended.

Peter Svidler did a video series on d3 on move 6 (not move 5)
