New Gambits in the Orangutan 1.b4
Posted is my friend Stan's test game with the Orang Buta Gambit. Buta means
pig in Japanese. It was a beautiful game between chess engines Houdini 1.5a
& Rybka with a fantastic kingside attack by Houdini,.

Thanks for posting! I'm currently playing in a b4 quad tournament and find the resulting positions fascinating and double-edged - like a tactical slugfest right out of the first move. It's an opening I plan to explore more and incorporate into more play.
Here's where you can find the tournament if interested:

I'm a firm believer that any opening is a good opening if you know how to play it and these games are classic examples. I knew a guy (@1900 rating) who used to play the Orangutan all the time with great success. Guys who play this are very aggressive and combinding an offbeat opening with aggressive play makes for a lot of excitement.
IMHO, anyway.
Thanks. I love to play chess gambits and play attacking chess. I also play other
gambits such as the Omega-Achilles Gambit 1.c4 Nf6 2.e4. I posted a game
at the www.chess.com "Gambit Gang" forum.
Also I am a columnist at Chessville with my column called "The Search for
Dragons & Mythical Chess Openings where I explore strange new gambits
such as the Kahiko-Hula Gambit 1.c4 e5 2.e3 Nf6 3.f4 exf4 4.Nf3 and I
sac the e and d pawns for the kingside attack.
