Both are possible and OK for black. Personally I like to play without both h6 and g5 but with qa5 and c5 to create some tactical motives against the bishop.
Nimzo Indian Leningrad variation

I wouldn't do it, but with the center closed, your king might be alright. 9...e4 seems to be the most popular option.

Can you give me an example of this

In Brendhof-Schaefer game the black did not castle. If you do not castle or castle in queenside h6 then g5 is ok I think. But if you castle kingside it may cause same trouble for you in my opinion.
In the Leningrad variation of the nimzo-indian should black play g5 at some point and continue to chase the bishop or does this move weaken him too much?
This is where I was and was not sure about g5
