black is not in big trouble at all. this position is sharp and white usually dosen't know how to play the position

Except if White DOES know how to play this position, then Black IS in big trouble. White's position is easier to play, the knight on e5 is very annoying, and Black's pawn structure will be an issue, especially with the lack of an f-pawn and the advanced d-pawn (which also creates the hole on e5 that's easy for White to defend).

You are right! Black has a great game, a few things notwithstanding:
- He is way behind in development, and finding a safe place for his king will take more time.
- He has voluntarily created a huge hole on e5.
- His queenside pawn structure is about to be ruined.
- He has no real counterplay, at all.
But other than these insignificant facts, he has a great game...

do they play it in colorado
Poor Colorado players. "Who named this opening after our state!" "We don't play this badly!" I imagine them saying.

hey I am the one who first posted forum on Colorado gambit .I think you should first consult my whole forum
Except others have made threads about it as well before you. Should I consult everything in those as well? Besides, there was nothing in your thread that was convincing that the Colorado Gambit is good.

there is a new car called the Chevy Colorado
maybe they play it in that car while on a road trip?
hmm?

Ne5 is a trap after the above sequence of moves black is positionally great please review some colorado theories and traps behind each and every move.
Colorado is great opening that drews a great player to a bad positions ....I personally defeated many 1900+ with this opening...

Please explain the "trap" after Ne5. Because all I'm seeing is a bad position for Black with no compensation. Otherwise, saying it's good for Black without any real "proof" is basically useless.

Black scores under 30% in corr and otb chess. It's really a wonderfull trap LOL

I'm sorry, 30% is to much. In my TWIC-database of the last 2 years black scored amazing 0% after Ne5.

Must he a really, really, really subtle trap then, since white is averaging 83% over 18 games with an average rating of 2360 on the Playchess live database...
Meanwhile that Patzer Komodo 8 thinks White has a clear advantage and is ahead by more than half a pawn.
But clearly your opinion is of far more value than a 3000+ rated computer...
You don't even need an engine to tell it's bad. Even a complete amateur can tell Black has a bad position.

oh man, you got the moves like jaggers??

Ne5 Qd6 Bxc6 or Nxc6 bxc6 after whatever move does white play white will fall behind black in development
The double pawns on c file is a great asset for black with king secured all the way then he may go for Nf6 then e6 Be7 0-0 just rearrange these sequence u will finally see a great postiional advantage for black.
Good point ffrom IM Pfren that White doesnt know how to play against this opening so many player will fail against this opening this opening is a sharp one which is only for attacking players not for a defending players.
This opening is for the one who wants to take his opponents to an unknown territory then push for a win from there...

Ne5 Qd6 Bxc6 or Nxc6 bxc6 after whatever move does white play white will fall behind black in development
Just casually stating lines like that is not convincing at all. In fact, after 5.Ne5 Qd6, I see zero reason why White should avoid 6.d4!, reinforcing the hole on e5 while also contesting the center, and White has a good advantage.
Oh, and where did pfren say that White doesn't know how to play against the opening? If you take five seconds to read what he said, all he did was sarcastically point out the many problems with Black's opening.
And while we're at it, where is that "trap" you were talking about? Because if it's 5.Ne5 Qd6 6.d4, I'd be more than willing to "fall for it."
