Opening Choices

I'm going to a boarding school next year and I barely have any time to study openings and i'd rather use my chess study times for middlegame and endgame.

Are there any good systems for white ? (by system I mean an opening where all the pieces go almost to the same squares regardless of what black plays and the plans are pretty much the same)

Also, is there a good opening I can play against D4, and C4, and Nf3?

I am really just guessing, but maybe you would be happy with First Steps: the Colle and London Systems, a book mentioned at:

For 1 d4, you might want to look at First Steps: Queen's Gambit.

For 1 c4, I understand that 1...e6 is reasonable. For 1 Nf3, one can play 1...d5. I realize that that is not much help, but I would guess that your opponents are also not likely to know a lot about 1 c4 and 1 Nf3. As far as I know, there are not yet First Steps books about those possibilities.

Perhaps, First Steps: The King’s Indian Defence

would be something to consider, but my impression is that learning about the King's Indian is a somewhat more demanding undertaking than the Queen's Gambit Declined.
