Did it? Maybe it's on the other page.

Nah, I think I found it.

I changed my mind. I actually think your idea works with the bishop on the d6 square.

The appearance just looks very unnatural. That's why I disliked it.

Thanks for agreeing Yereslov! If you have any more questions about it, I'd be glad to help!

Oh, thanks for clearing that up. I've got some new theory in this forum:

I call this awful gambit the Yereslov Gambit.

Avatar of Yereslov

Huh, actually not a bad gambit now that I check it a bit more with Fritz.

I would say that Black maintains a little advantage, but it is certainly an interesting line. Good job!

What do you think? I think Black is equal.

@yereslov.  Your line is certainly interesting, but I feel that black would simply take on c3 after a3 and play Qc7 or cxd4, transposing into the poisoned pawn variation of the winawer.

Yes, that makes sense.

Something like this came up in my tournament game recently. I was black.

Here's a better variation:

Oh, never mind. 9.b3 destroys the whole thing.

I see your point. Most likely the best way to fight the Grob is to play this...

According to this image, that was not an opening novelty.

That was not an opening novelty, the move feedback and explorer say so

I found a novelty for Black on move 28 (!) of an obscure line in the Sicilian Najdorf.

Looking at it later in Stockfish, it is analyzed as -10 (advantage: Black, by more than a Queen).

Minus.

Freakin'.

Ten.

I made a variation of the Dragon of the Sicilian.

I also made a variation of the Semi Slav Defense.
