I have been playing for about 2 months now. When i started i didnt even know how the pieces moved so my rating plummited down to around 600 i think lol ( i know thats idiot level) When i managed to get the hang of things i shot back up and i am currently at 1112. So I have decided its about time to learn some openings. I know the kings and queens gambits and i know the ruy lopez ( spanish) opening. I am just wondering what openings would be easier for someone like me to learn. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks. Actually just looked up the two knights and realised that i open with it quite a lot lol. Ill look up the danish gambit and the smith morra now. :)

I have played like a beginner for 20 years and I love the Two Knights Defence.  I am not sure if that makes it more attractive or less.

Start with siciliansk, but when you normaly go for C6....don't do it! Try pawn D2-D4, and try to "make" a dobbel-pawn on F6. It's very hard to find a good defense against it. Try it some time. ;-) estalo73
