openings for "lazy" players

laziest opening i know is the hippo, you make the same first 8 moves watever the opponent does. 1...g6, 2...Bg7, 3...d6, 4...e6, 5...Ne7, 6...Nd7, 7...b6, 8...Bb7 and the hippo is complete! the plan is to break down the oponent's centre with your pawns, ...e5...d5, ...c5 being the main one. Other importants points are: be careful of a weak pawn on d6 if the d-file is open and don't get into a passive game with no useful plans.
For White you could play the Colle or London, or Reti. If Black uses an Indian defense you could use 150 attack or the Barry attack. As Black you could use 1.d6 against everything which you do. Books for these openings...
Starting Out: D Pawn Attacks, by Richard Palliser (Excellent author)
Ideas Behind the Modern Chess Openings, by Gary Lane
Dynamic Reti, by Nigel Davies
If you go with the Repertoire in the Starting out book you'll need something against the Dutch and Benoni. The Reti book is an all inclusive repertoire, although I don't like the reccommendation against 2...dxc4. The Reti can be a bit difficult because it is VERY flexible, Black has many, many options, so you don't neccessarily get similiar positions.
Hope this helps.
