Openings for white?

I know that as a beginner I shouldn't worry about openings too much, but im not sure what to play as white.
Im thinking of either playing italian game, with fried liver if 3. ... Nf6 and Giuoco pianissimo or center attack  if 3. ...Bc5, or playing a 1. d4 setup, with me specifically interested in catalan, queens gambit, and maybe even trompowsky.

If you guys can help me, that would be nice, but I'm not even sure if I gave enough information, but oh well.

the Catalan is way too much theory at your level to learn. Black has like 12 good responses if he takes the pawn and still has a good game if he declines the pawn with Be7. the Trompovski only really works against Nf6. if you paired the Trompovski with the London system you would have a pretty good repertoire as White at your level.

Its so weird to think it was only 25 days ago... I thought I asked this months ago! I now play Italian game as white (center attack + fried liver), but that london + trompowsky is a cool combo too!

I hate playing the stonewall because I'm a tactician who craves mobility, but I had great results with it in my 1400s playing it against EVERYTHING from both sides of the board except 1.e4 and 1.g4. it's a good beginner variation, I believe because it's nearly universal and because you have simple opening plans that mostly follow the same opening moves...

build the wall, get your kings knight out and then Bishop to d unless there's already one on your diagonal, then play it to e because the last thing you want to do is give that bishop up, then castle and throw everything at whichever side of the board your opponent castles. i never studied it.

just yesterday, I looked at stats and see the stonewall attack, at least, has winning stats, but today I saw that I was getting stomped by londons in the 5.Nbd2 line with it. one would have to do their homework there as black maybe, but other players who connect with the stonewall straightjacket better than me have = stats. it must be a quiet positional line... exactly what I hate and why it's no longer for me

Since you are a caro kann enjoyer, trompowsky/levitsky, queen's gambit exchange, london system are one of the best fits for you. or the stonewall

indeed. Soo I guess you're a 1. e4 player now? Just wondering what lines you play for the Sicilian, French, Caro•Kann(!), Pirc etc etc ? (don't have any recommendations by the way)

Sicilian: alapin

french: Normal variation, with 3. ... Nc3. Then play with logic.

Caro: Used to play fantasy, but now I play advance, as I find that it is the hardest to respond to, so by playing it, I can learn from how my opponents deal with the pressure.

Pirc: 150 type setup.

Most in line with Caro-Kann 1 e4 c6 and Slav Defence 1 d4 d5 2 c4 c6 would be London system for white 1 d4 d5/Nf6 2 Bf4.

you cut 90% of the theory by playing the Qa4+ lines

literally just learn the Qa4+ variation + how to setup agianst the closed and main line

I am thinking of using london system or trompowsky or a combo of both once the fried liver stops working, as I don't actually even like the italian all that much, but I have 100% winrate in fried liver, sooooo...
