I play 1d4 as white. There's only one of those options from the OP that really bothers me. , because it undermines the whole point of playing 1d4. That's as much as I can say without being kicked out of the union.

And what is that option

Experience players will adopt fm Daniel barrish in any time control but can't adopt same skill level players magnus can't walk over hikaru, fabi Or anish with the kid

Anyway Daniel is considered a beast at his level and undoubtedly a good player to give advise

My point is that the KID remains a valid defense, as far as I know. Even at the engine level, it's still a draw.

Anyone who claims otherwise is either trying to sell something, or has discovered some secret that the rest of the chess world doesn't yet know of ...

See it on your belief bro but the truth is the kings indian legacy has been extinct and there are many ways now to smash the kid

Extinct since when?

Carlsen and Aronian both played it a few months ago. Has it gone extinct in the past few months?

Since you like Caruana, here's a KID game of his..

His 13th move was quite a shocker, as far as KID theory goes. Trading away his king's indian bishop, for tactical compensation.

If the KID were busted, Caruana wouldn't have prepped with it. Especially not in an important event, such as Tata Steel.

Bro i didn't said it is completely busted I said it is now seen very less as there are now too many ideas to not even get into main line kid

There was a time i used to play kid 3 month ago but now I understood that kid Is just a useless opening snd i switched to grunfeld because

Modern engines has find too many ways to squeeze the kid to death

You will be dead lost in first 20 move if white plays the variations like samisch, makaganov, bayonet with good theoretical engine prep

No modern day player goes into our favourite mar del plata line where we push our kingside pawn and attack and most of the time you will find yourself defending against a huge attack

There is a reason kid has almost extinct in elite chess level

And also kasparov gave up on kid after losing his title kramnik badly

I think you want to play with bg7 play grunfeld where black has lot of tactical opportunities the bishop is lot more active and black also has good moves to break apart white center

In my this post I already explained why I and many titled player don't like kid as black

I think you're confused there.

Kasparov played the Grünfeld against Kramnik, in their WCC match. Game 2. Kramnik won.

After that, Kasparov didn't try the Grünfeld again.

d4 e5 - the Englund gambit is a great opening and works at all levels.

Bollocks

i wouldn't argue with someone who plays like caruana although with admittedly poorer results.

Best for an amateur is subjective. If there's an opening you badly want to play just play it because your motivation will be high to study it.

From an objective point of view i think that the QGD is very good because you can enforce it almost vs 1. c4. You also have the possibility to learn the Carlsbad, IQP/hanging pawn structures a lot. Imo thats a huge advantage because you can almost enforce a Carlsbad or slav exchange structure  in many Queen's pawn openings like the london or jobava london

The englund gambit is extremely p*werful because y*u can prem*ve 1. e5 against ANYTHING. I have played the englund extensively *ver the b*ard. D*n't diss the *pening unless y*u can walk the walk t** and beat me when I play it.

I enjoy playing the Benko Gambit:

Unlike most gambits, this one is positional in nature - after cxb5 a6 bxa6 Bxa6, black will put his rooks on the two open files and harass the white queenside pawns forever and ever.

Benko is quite good sideline against queens gambit

I always get a laugh beating stronger opponents with the sidelines. Hilarious part: no London  System and no theory. I score 50/50 drunk so even more fun.
