Overlay my move tree on a masters database

Greetings,

This seems like it should be a simple issue but I have spent the last 4 hours trying to find a way to compare my move tree to a masters db for a specific opening. For example, I am using SCID (though I have tried Chess Position trainer and other programs) and I have 130K masters games for the Slav Defense. I also have 50 of my own games for the same position. I would like <insert program here> to tell me that my move #6 is only used by the masters x% of the time or that my move #12 is not in the masters db.

I understand that I can use a chess engine to analyze individual games but I am trying to take a holistic approach to identify tendencies and would like to simply overlay my move tree on top of a master db move tree and identify where they do not match.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know in previous versions of CPT you could set up a repertoire and compare your games against that and I assume newer versions also support that. I don't know if you can do the comparison against two databases though.

In SCID, you can open the Master DB in Tree mode and you can check individual games to see where you deviate from any specific games. There may be a way to do it in a more automated manner over a bunch of games but I'm not really familiar with some of the features. I use SCID vs PC (pretty much SCID) and use the Tree feature a lot.

I'm running some OTB games through analysis right now but if no one else gives a better answer I can look to see if I can find anything better.

Thanks for your reply. I am using SCID just as you described, however, I am working on critiquing my tendencies rather than how I played a single game.
