I agree with you now, it was 5 years ago I wrote it. I learned a lot since that time.

That type of attack oftentimes fails when Black has already played ..e6. The availability of ..Qe7 can make all the difference. Your opponent should have grabbed g2 here. 5...Bxg2 6.Qh5+ g6 7.fxg6 Bg7.
