Owen's defense or E6 B6 system for black

I don't think very highly of it, white plays Nc3-Bd3-Nge2! and the f pawn is free to push while black has no play.

According to a computer, black should play c5 on move 6 and Bxc3 on move 8. These are the mistakes, which made the position so bad for black.

... and U get QID.
No, that is not a QID. A QID requires ...Nf6 by Black and prevention of e4.
1.e4 b6 2.d4 e6 3.c4 Bb7 is the English Defense. After say, 4.Bd3, 4...Nf6 is just a bad move. 4...f5 is better.
If c4 is not played, it is the Owen's Defense - 1.e4 b6 2.d4 e6 3.Nc3 Bb7 etc.
The Queen's Indian specifically avoids e4 by White. 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 (3.Nc3 b6?? 4.e4!) b6 4.g3 (or 4.e3 or 4.Nc3) Bb7, preventing e4, is the QID
"Owen's defense or popular E6 B6 system looks similar to me." ++ Yes
"Should I play this like Nimzo-Larsen?" ++ Yes, more or less
"What are the differences?" You are 1 tempo down, that makes a big difference
"Is this even a good opening?" ++ Not really, at top level, though Carlsen has played it. At amateur level it is good.
I really enjoy playing Nimzo-Larsen Attack and I think I'm playing good chess when I'm playing this opening. Owen's defense or popular E6 B6 system looks similar to me. Is it similar? Should I play this like Nimzo-Larsen? What are the differences? Is this even a good opening?
