Technically, it is Петров. There may be different ways of transliterating в.
3Qe7 is drawish, often leading to an exchange of queens. Many of the masters games with it appear to be pre-agreed draws. I don't see how it is bad, but I wouldn't play it unless you are happy with a draw and with an early endgame.
I was thinking about introducing Petrov defense to my opening repertoire. While I was browsing through different variations I saw interesting move - 3...Qe7 in classical variation (with 3.Nxe5). It is third most popular move in this position, but not too popular (only 121 times played in master games in chess.com database). In two most popular continuations (4. d4 and 4.Sf3) black has good results score (36%/38%/26% and 24%/48%/28%). So my questions is: is it good idea to play this move on my level, if it looks the best for me in this opening? Or am I wrong?
