Hm...is the Slav positional? Seems pretty wildly tactical to me.
Planning on switching from KID to Slav... thoughts?

BTW I don't think the CKD has all that much to do with the Slav Defense other than starting out with an early ...c6. Next time try telling us what variation(s) of the CKD you play and what variation(s) of the Slav you're planning on using and maybe you'll get more specific recommendations and suggestions GOOD LUCK!

The Slav is an excellent match to go with the CK
1. In both you often get in similar pawn structures.
2. You can handle transpositions such as responding to 1. c4
I've been wrongly playing the KID because I disovered I was better positionally; plus, I play the caro-kann so the slav should be a good choice for me. How should I go about this change?
