it pins the pawn but most people regard this as an inferior move since it brings out the queen early but i still like it sometimes the opponet doesn't notice it
At leas you avoid Qa5 check ! :)
But it is a bad move as it is not a devepment move and black has several easy ways to counter this for example Nd7 with the idea of Nb6
