Very aggressive 

if you want to play positional then I prefer Q's gambit

you can easily win the pawn you gave

you can have better centre control

It's just another way to play chess. You don't need tips . Follow the opening principles, develop your minor pieces in the most active squares, castles quickly connecting your rooks and try to push progressive e3-e4-e5 with out losing the pawn or any other piece. Alternatively you can attack on the Queenside with your b pawn if your opponent has a pawn on the c file. After you complete development put your rook behind the b pawn and push it forward aiming to exchange it with the c pawn. In that way you will open more space for your pieces to become active.

Focus on opening principles and general ideas. In time you will experience more and more.

Don't play it as a beginner imo. Most people don't know what to do against it, and you'll just see a million queen's gambit accepted. I've gone back to using 1.e4.
