Greetings everyone.

I have seen many players playing their first move d4 as white. I want to know some good response for black against the move d4.

I think that it is fairly common for a player to be advised to first learn the Queen's Gambit Declined. If nothing else, it is probably going to be easier to find recent introductory opening books like First Steps: The Queen's Gambit

https://www.newinchess.com/media/wysiwyg/product_pdf/7652.pdf

and The Queen's Gambit Declined: Move by Move.

It might be a good idea to consider Discovering Chess Openings by GM John Emms (2006).

I think Dutch Defense is an aggressive response to d4.

e5 would be a move to play, and you can get the opponent's queen. For example:

1. d4 e5

2. dxe5 d6

3 exd6 Qxd6

4. Qd4 Qxd4!!!

i found the slav to be a good and solid response and the set-up/plans work well if white does not specifically go into queens gambit

That’s not how the tactic works. Why would the queen go to d4

That's like asking why would they open with d4. True story - happened to me.

1.d4 d5 2.c4 e5 is a good counter gambit for black. But play it only after learning it, and never against experienced players, or you will get crushed.
