I have been wondering , if the Chigorin Defence is still a reliable opening to play?
What rating level can I expect to continue to play this as Black with success ?
What kind of time format is it effective to play blitz, standard, correspondence ?
Are there any drawbacks to playing this defence ?

You can confidently rely on the Chigorin variation up to FIDE 2900.

I was hoping for FIDE 2925 do you think those points could be squeezed out by the likes of Magnus?
