Here is a blitz game I played recently in the classical defence, I play with 1.Nc6 but we transpose to e4 e5:

Try 3...f5. I'm not saying it's the best, but it definitely fits the bill for a sharp counter-offensive. It's the Schliemann Defence / Jaenisch Gambit.




The classical and marshal are very different.
C3 is one of the two main moves against the classical, but probably inferior to 4.O-O because white needs to be prepared for both Nf6 and f5 after c3.
