I think it's great !
Scandavian Deviation

If you have to play the Scandi, and this way, then 3...Nxd5 is best. White should probably prefer 3.d4 to 3. Nc3
i don't know exactly why the engine prefers e5. i would just try to reason it out myself.
i need to play e5 because i need to develop and get my king out of the e-file, and since Bxc6 is not exactly good for white, i don't need to defend against it. i have to use my judgment that white has no effective way to attack c6 since i can't calculate all the lines where white tries that and luckily i don't have to.
on the other hand if i try to justify bd7, i have to play a6 at some point since if i don't then white's bishop can stay on b5 and my bishop then has to stay on d7 obstructing the d-file, so then white's bishop would be better in that case. however, after a6 white doesn't have to take on c6. he can play bc4 or some other move after which i might still have to relocate my bishop since now it just obstructs the d-file and serves no other purpose anymore.
i can reason that if white doesn't take on c6 after ..a6, then white has lost a move, but then since i have to move bd7 somewhere else to be useful, i would have to lose a move too. so in effect the only move i gain would be a6, but i don't know how productive a6 can be if i don't have any plans of expanding on the queenside at all.
So I play the modern Scandanavian deviation a lot against 1. e4 - throws my opponents off and puts in positions I'm more comfortable playing.
I'm running some analysis and the computer is telling me that a move I typically make in such a position is an inaccuracy... but the move its suggesting I make I can't quite fathom why it's much better... anyone wanna convince me to change my ways?
