Man how many people have drank the Bongwater? White played that all wrong! Black should be the one asking for mercy!
Scandinavian vs Bongcloud : funny mate in 3 moves

Man how many people have drank the Bongwater? White played that all wrong! Black should be the one asking for mercy!
No probs, I'm just searching for various quickest mates.
Technically isn't the bongcloud usually 2.Ke2? I'm just asking as I am not a bongcloud afficionado....

Kingwraith is right; this is a sham Bongcloud and White got summarily punished for trying to imitate it.

Isn't this from a famous game where white accidently touched his King on move three and was therefore forced to move it?

Yes, exactly (or rather that Lindemann touched a piece that can't be moved and had a penalty to move his king).

it's, clearly a delayed Bongcloud, cf. L29-1.e4 d5 2.Ke2-Scandinavian Defense: Cheese Danish Attack in the classification of Conquistador.

So 2.Qh5 totally refutes the reversed Bongcloud unless U wanna get the mate in 1 move.
Mate is a trivial issue. Its not about winning or loseing, its about getting your king to the other side man.

Yo, this should be the true real stake in Bongcloud : move your king to the other side as quick as possible! Though the mate is clearly a fatal obstacle to this noble purpose.

I looked up the game and in the annotations is this:
▼ The congress book indicates that Black did not mate immediately after white's third move, but preferred to play a bit with White before making the kill. No moves are supplied.

According to Irving Chernev in one of his books, the famous game was this one:
In this game, Black meant to play his Queen to e7 but was lighting his pipe and not watching the position. As a result, he picked up his King instead of the Queen. Since the only legal move was to e7, which would have allowed Qe5#, he resigned.

Ah, that rings more of a bell. Cheers.

..Surely he was lighting his Bong?
The power of Bongcloud (1. e4 d5 2. exd5 Qxd5 3. Ke2 Qe4 mate)!
