It's pretty interesting to face, black has a pretty clear plan of playing on the queenside and the meran variation leads to pretty fun games.
I actually play the anti-meran gambit Bg5 against the semi slav. sacrificing on c4 and playing e5. it leads to some fun positions
Also I find Abraam's variation is quite dangerous for white

The Sevi-Slav is a pro opening- tons of theory, and a slight slip can prove fatal.
A very recent example... Black was thourougly prepared in a line considered bad for Black.
Looks like a route, but factly Black missed 24...Qg4! (clearly a computer move) when white has nothing better than accepting perpetual check.
If you like playing that stuff, then go on... but I clearly advice against this.
Let's talk about Semi-Slav, I think this is really strong weapon against Queen's gambit.
