Sicilian Defense: Amazon Attack

As the subject states, my question is concerning the Sicillian Defense: Amazon Attack (1.e4 c5 2.Qg4)
How could this possibly be a good idea?

This is the only game I could find on chess.com using the variation. (http://www.chess.com/games/view.html?id=1186595)

How could this possibly be a good idea, you ask? Well, considering that its only recorded use was at an "under 11" tournament, I think you can see what quality the opening holds. Tongue out

It is on a par with the Sicilian Mongoose 1.e4 1.c5  2.Nf3  2.Qa5.   You figure it out for yourself.

The amazon attack is fun to play if your just playing the amazon attack and it's just for fun. A lot of people try this if you play live tho. Hoping for cheesey mates i'm guessing?

unsolvedmysteries

yeah, that could be the case.

That variation also called the Prins Sicilian whas occasionaly played by Dutch GM Lodewijk Prins (though not against serious opposition).

I think I might have figured out white's strategy in Amazon Attack. You either want to trade queens in the first seven moves (or less) or you want to develop knights and bishops in a closed game (you want to keep the queen in a closed game though)

How about my game where I used this defense? https://www.chess.com/analysis/library/4xpXjwYmen

I don't know how to post the video or game like unsolvedmysteries did
