Here is another fun opening:
1.e4 c5 2.Ke2?!
trigs, black should play 2...e6 and then ...a6...b5 to chase the bishop. I have had success with this plan.
Bc4 is a good plan in a number of Sicilian setups, I remember an article by GM Mednis that suggested a system that used this as a common feature against a number of Sicilicans. So White trys to shortcut the process with an immediate Bc4. The problem, as pointed out by GM Mednis in the aforementioned article, is Bc4 is a poor move against the e6 Sicilians. Play through some Kan/Taminov games to get a feel for the typical plans. Realize White is trying to dominate the d5 square but is really just providing you a target.
playing as black, i have come across this opening a few times. i remember hearing/reading somewhere about how it can cause a lot of problems for white. can anyone please explain how black and capitalize in this opening position?
