Well, it's not bad for white, it allows him to control the center. It's just a more closed position were in this cases need more accurate development. I don't know how black should proceed, suddenly nothing makes sense.
So, just the Sicilian Katalimov is not a good choice of black, right?
Depence from who is playing white pieces! It's not accident that is not popular in the higher levels.
