I've been recently studying the heck out of the Najdorf, and looking into loads of games including Kasparov. Heres a great game between Kasparov and Michael Adams.

I studied this game a lot and quite like the idea of Nc6 and a quick b4, and used it in one of my games below.

Hope you find this intresting, and what do you think of Kasparovs idea of Qc7 Nc6 and b4!? Thanks all!
( Thanks again to my opponent who I played in the second game and introduced these great ideas. ;))

I'm sure people have been playing Nc6 + b4 in Sicilian before KasparovSmile - altough maybe not in that exact position.

In your game white maybe could consider 15. Nxc6 Bxc6 (15... bxc3 16. Nxe7+ Kh8 17. Qxd6) 16. axb4 altough black probably should still have attacking chances on the queenside. In Adams-Kasparov this obviously was impossible.

That was a fantastic game by Kasparov, complications beyond the calculational abilities of all but a very few. Thanks for posting.

Yup, me and my opponent figured that black wouldnt have that much of a problem winning the pawn back as he has too many pieces on the queenside, but thanks for posting.

No problem, I should be posting p2 soon enough.

Glad you liked it! :-)
