Hi everyone. I need some help, because I want to know a very strong but also not very much played against the Sicilian Defense (1.e4 c5):

I was looking and had the following:

But I don't like to play the normal theory for the Sicilian Defense, because it's complex for just ~5 minutes.

Do you have any suggestions??

Thank you very much!!

1.e4, c5 2. Ne2 is very interesting the idea is mainly against the player who used 1.e4, c5 2. Nf3, d6... Let me explain you why is that. Because 1.e4,c52.Ne2 if black plays 2...e6 or 2... Nc6 after 3.d4 you transpose to a position which black players doesnt use to play. and after 1.e4,c5 2. Ne2, d6 white can play 3.g3!? and the idea is to play 4. Bg2 and then 5.c3 and 6.d4 creating a strong center. The knight from e2 has a advantage! From e2 doesnt interrupt the h1-a8 diagonal. For example after 1.e4,c5 2. Nf3, d6 3. g3 black can simply play Nf6 and white hasnt a way of protect e4 and then control the center with c3 and d4. This is basically the idea of develop the knight on e2. Hope you understand my english. The second line 1.e4,c5 2. d3 is not suitable for white , black should equalise easily in many ways.

Thank you very much JRgascon!!. This helps alot!!, and I can understand your English very well! Laughing.

;) Led my add something. Ne2 is strong against d6 players because after 1. e4, c5 2. Ne2, e6 for example if white plays g3 black can play d5! and if white takes on d5 black takes with his queen! in the line with d6 if blacks wants to play 3...d5 they should lose a tempo d6 and just then d5! and believe me or not this is theorical 1.e4, c5 2. Ne2, d6 3. g3 , d5!? 4. Bg2 , dxe4 5. Nbc3 , f5 !? Blacks wins a pawn but white has a lot of development ;) Interesting line. More suitable for white in my opinion.

Actually 2.d3 is an interesting move, but to get something out of it white should follow another developing scheme ( google for "Lawrence Day Big Clamp" ). It's not THAT dangerous if Black knows how to meet it, but usually he isn't. Actually the very same developing pattern is hidden behind Sviaginsev's bizarre 2.Na3!?.

2. Na3!? is interesting! i played it once against a CM and i won the game very easily. 2. d3 Is to play like a kings indian  scheme just i think there are best move orders to reach kings indian scheme 2.d3 defines the position very soon.

Blitz games help you to practice your openings. I suggest to you keep playing blitz and keep doing what you did. If you play a blitz game and your oponent use a line you doesnt know ask more experienced people how to answer against this.

Adriandmen

Yes JRgascon, I am very busy about this opening. I am planning to change my opening repertoire from 2.Nf3 to 2.Ne2!?, but to do this, I have to practice a lot.

So why all top GMs plays blitz? because its bad? dont think so.
