Sicilian or Caro-Kann?

Sicilian dragon or the accelerated dragon. Just don't learn too much theory but learn the general ideas and themes as people at your level won't attack you so good.

IMO
I rather think the Sicilian Defense because Caro-Kann there are full of variants that annoy or cause us problems that can discourage us from continuing to play it, example in the world championship 2023 Aryan Tari played a variant that immediately posed difficulties for Magnus Carlsen in my opinion :
We have the impression that this move is "a mistake" because the Bishop can come in e4 and therefore we think it is better to play first 4) Nc3 e6 and now 5) g4 but actually no really because 4) g4 Be4 5) f3 Bg6 and now there is 6) e6 that can annoy.
In the Caro Kann Defense there are two exchange variants which can annoy. One variant that leads to the structure of Carlsbad and from memory Fabiano Caruana won against Iturrizaga into Aimchess rapid 2023 and other Panov–Botvinnik Attack.
And otherwise for the Sicilian I think of two variants :
a : 1) e4 c5 2) Nf3 e6 because like this no Rossolimo or Sicilian Moscow (which are annoying when we start to study the Sicilian).
b : Dragon Variation because it goes hand in hand with an English opening with White

if you like attacking and having a chance to checkmate your oppoment within 30 moves. play the sicilian
if you like having a solid structure and playing more slowly, then play the caro kann

If you like to play more aggressively then the Sicilian would probably be better. I’d recommend the Accelerated Dragon for the sole reason of it being the only Sicilian variation I actually have a decent understanding of how to play.
If you like to play more solidly and defensively, winning endgames, then the Caro-Kann would probably be better.

Caro kann is not suitable for OP's range. Caro kann is high level stuff it looks simple but it is not.

And yet the Sicilian is suitable and not full of high level stuff????
SMH!

Yeah, u might feel that I am completely stupid and have no clue about what I am talking about, but it's true. The caro kann requires some level of precision and tactics don't flow in it so easily. At OP's level, Sicilian dragon or ACD is perfect and tactics do flow through them. It doesn't require SO much knowledge to play Sicilian. Just the first 6-8 moves and then general ideas.

Yeah, and then it is sac, sac, mate, White wins, because Black didn't know the theory and tried to play off of principles.
You want something with less theory? Learn the French and avoid the Winawer. Play the Classical or Rubinstein against 3.Nc3.

I learning sicilian defense accelerated dragon. Very good, i have rating 900 and i win with 1500 playing this. Some traps, and after good look moves engine say 0.2 for white.
I actually use Caro-Kann, and it's pretty simple. But Sicilian just looks like way too much theory. So I'm wondering if I should learn 1 or 2 variations of the Sicilian.
