There's no wrong answer to this question. They both hold at all levels - even at the highest engine levels.

I can't say anything about the Sicilian, but I do play the frnech defense and think this is indeed for both sides a very agressive opening if you want it to be. Furthermore, since I started playing again last year, I think that in many cases the French provides Black with numerous versatile options to play a very fluent game.

I would say that the Sicilian Defense must be better because if White plays to make a draw it seems more difficult to do it in the Sicilian Defense than in the French Defense.
