Oh yea the yugoslav attack in the Open Sicilian Dragon, a very aggressive attack, allowing black quick castling for white to build up a very scary center. I was only first showing common ground in the first 2 moves, but yes this is a fun varition. did you have a question?

Gotta be more specific

And do you pretend to learn all those theory? for what?
For reasons like that the only real "theorical " defense I play is the philidor.
I dont like the Sicilian because of that. I ve never liked theory.

Ok yea I’m sorry for the simplification I was just saying goal in the developmental stage is generally to build a nice big center. Then after that white has the freedom to rampage down blacks kingside and try to make black look dumb for Fianchettoing. my bad.
also what is 2.e6 then if not the French variation?

Yeah very tricky decision. I myself is confused about whether to play najdorf or classical
REAL MEN play the Najdorf.

Hi! I ´m a Sicilian player and will comment on the caracter of the main Black choices in the open variation (2. Nf3 and 3 d4) as a little contribution to the discussion.
Black can choose, depending on their mood or style:
-Sharp lines: Dragon, Accelerated Dragon, Sveshnikov, Kalashnikov, Najdorf, Classic, 4 knights
-Positional lines: Taimanov, Kahn, Scheveningen
These are only generall trends. Of course, the type of game depends also on White's play.
The opening is very fun and reliable. I´m quite experienced with it and have a win rate of nearly 50%. If you are interested in learning how to play this opening, please contact me for details on lessons. I´m a Chess.com coach.
Good luck!
In the Sicilian Defence (1. e4 c5) there are quite a few varitiaons, some so complex they might as well be openings in on themselves, and it can be quite difficult to learn the ins and outs of everthing so I made this forum for Sicilian defence purpouses.
After black initiates the Sicilian white has quite a few valid responses such as:
2.Nf3 (open,french,ect...) ,
2.Nc3 (closed),
2. d4 (Smith-Morra Gambit),
2. c3 (Alapin)
And many not as effective but still very playable variations like the:
2.Na3 (Kronberger),
2.d3 (unnamed) - can transpose into other variations,
2.f4 (McDonnell),
2.c4 (Staunton-Cochrane)
2.Bc4 (Bowdler Attack)
some variations can be quite self-explanatory such as the Smith-Morra Gambit while otheres like the 2.Nf3 Sicilian are extremely complex, both white and black can use that to their advantage, a good example of this is that after 2. Nf3 black has a wide range of options from the simplistic HypAcc dragon (g6) to the surprisingly aggressive french varition (e6) to a traditional Nc6/d6 Sicilian. also white could attempt to catch black off gaurd with a move like f4 (McDonnell), Na3 (Kronberger), or c4 (Staunton-Cochrane).
Now I dont have the time or qualification to explain every single one and its intentions. so feel free to show your ideas, variations, or explanations for the Sicilian Defence.
