Simple Refutation of the Fritz Gambit

It is just equal.....Not much else. Yes, white is completely bottled up, but if he unraveled then black is worse.

It is not a recommended line because black pursues needless risk. The best lines are the safest lines.

7.Kf2? Bc5+ 8.e3 Ngf6 looks like Black gets the better of it.
7.Qa4 is probably roughly equal. But Black should get an advantage after White's 1.g4.
A better try is 3...e6 4.Qb3 Ne7 where after 5.Qxb7? Nbc6 White is basically lost.

The problem is is that white can't unravel. Black's position is just too good.

7. Qa4 is white's best try, but after 7...Be6 there seems to be no way to win.
I like this line a little better...
Interesting. Apparently that line scores even worse with engine analysis.
My line has something like 0.25+.
Yours is 0.00-0.07- for white.
Do you play this line Yereslov? I would not recommend it.
I would, considering black is better.
I mean consider how insulted the opponent would be. He has a rook, but nowhere to go.
I like the psychological factor.

5. Qb3 is the best reply, so it's not exactly a blunder. The simple move 5...Nf6 works just fine.
