My current rating is USCF 2456 OTB.

Oh really?...lol  Then why not apply here for a free membership?  Last I heard, 2456 is a master, so you're eligible for a diamond membership gratis.  Or are you just the usual armchair genius? (we seem to get them a lot around here).

As in the Monty Python movie, "The Holy Grail", the French soldier atop the castle wall said, "...We've already got one ...and it's a really nice one...", (got one on ICC). "...Now go away or I will taunt you a second time..."

But if you would like to play OTB, I will be at the North American Open Dec. 26-30, 2010 in Las Vegas at the Bally's Casino and Hotel.  I will be playing in the Open.

meh, this variation is fairly easy to learn, you'll end up with active pieces at the cost of having a isolani.
GO STUDY IT.
RESPECT THE MORRA.

Respect an amateur opening?  Respect an opening that only has a 34% win percentage vs Black's 39% win percentage and Black's 66% combined win/draw percentage?   Umm....yeah...lol

Yet still you're dodging every single challange you've recieved, my dear 1600 level grandmaster.

He is not with us any more.

I love the S/M.  I dont have the brains or time to study all the theory against the Sicilian.  My 12 yr old son played a 1950 expert at a local club and played the Morra.  Expert grabbed those 2 pawns and smirked.  Said son brought out the knight.  Expert froze for 10 mins.  It was a battle for 45 mins (no time controls just fun).  My boy was up a bishop and blundered.  The expert exhaled loudly and grinned and told my son...."what's your rating"...answer, "I don't have one".  He laughed ended up beating my boy.  I told him it was the Smith-Morra and he said he was going home and reading up on it.  He said never sees it in tourny play.  He shook my son's hand and told him that he made him work too hard to win. LOL

Hum ?

echeque was banned a month ago.

I don't know who reported him, but we have been saved from his Rybka-inspired pontifications.

This is a day of independence, for all the Munchkins and their descendents! Cool

I got spanked by this gambit, a very clever 12. ND5, which I thought I had covered and analysed through, turns out I hadn't! Shows the gulf in class between a 1700 and 2000 player though!

My 11. Qc7 is what started the headache, I was thinking of moving the bishop to something like c5 or b4 instead, perhaps I might have lasted a bit longer then.

Also instead of my 6. a6, I might have instead have pinned his knight against king.

Still don't think I would have a comfortable game though Tongue out

care to analyze?
