Stafford white plays d4 after dxc6

Guys - I’m trying to learn this gambit but for all the material out there, I can’t find anything that says how black should play if white plays d4. Is the gambit still on for black?
Thanks.

Hello… I have made a quick opening study and it’s what I found…

Black gives a pawn in exchange of easy development of his pieces with a lot of attack chances (more specifically, traps).

Any unaware player will have issues while dealing with it… Just stay defensive and black’s attack will eventually fall apart. In the end, white will have an extra pawn and a better pawn structure.
