From a 1c4 move order it comes about from a symmetrical formation with an early d4 from white. White can't "force" a Maroczy in this line unless black finachettoes his DSB ...

I think Nunn featured this game in his "Beating The Sicilian" books.
I'm always happy to be on the white side of this. It requires patience and successful transistion into endgame play .

States it is possible and I have only basic membership (can't afford other memberships currently) so I couldn't see much of his teaching.
Nevertheless I would like to know how to play white because I do use the English and transpose it to the Maroczy Bind and successfully crush opponents in the game.
P.S. don't be suggestive of starting with E4 then do C4, I am SPECIFICALLY asking doing C4 (1st) then later on E4. Thank you.
