More importantly, chess openings are numerous beyond my counting. These are just a list of them that I can think of at the moment. But do keep in mind that the true power of an opening only reveals itself when a player plays it with near perfection (we are nowhere near that strength.) So chess openings are not too important to us casual players.
Hope this helps!

Some of us think that it can be useful to use books like First Steps: 1 e4 e5 and First Steps: Queen's Gambit

as sources of games with explanations intended for those just starting to learn about an opening.
I don't have any chess openings for black and I'm kind of bored of playing the sicilian defence so much, will someone tell me a new chess opening i could play or at least any chess books for black side openings?
