Thanks very interesting. Do you challenge me?

I am only about USCF 1500 and not at all experienced in this line. I would not be a good test subject.

Don't worry I don't even know what USCF mean.

United States Chess Federation. Anyway, my understanding is that Black is better off with

or

In the firts diagram white can play...... and will be up a pawn and black's pawn structure is pretty bad

The other one is not the fried liver and the position is equal

At this point, I have seen 8...Nd5 suggested.

Here's a game i played against the 8.Bd3 variation.

Your opponent's higher rated than me but actually I think giving up the bishop pair on move eleven was the issue because of two small positional things: doubled d pawns and knight vs bishop. I think he played passively by defending against your agressive threats instead of making profit of the fact that he's got the turn advantage and attacking your weak pawns. However, GG, well played.

Another move, but wasting so much time in developement

Of course Bc4 is better than Nf6 for black on move 3.

8...h6 is more of a waste. 8...Nd5 is the best move for black in this position.

I agree interesting since it puts pressure on white's kingside castle (occasionaly)  but risky though

NB: don't know hoe to spell ocasionally tell me if I'm wrong

Ellen_Hall

I warn you, though. ...Nxe4 is bad and black can play any of these three moves instead.
