3. Nc3 for White is a very rare and unusual move here. After 3..., exf4 I'd usually expect either 4. Nf3 (hopeful and nebulous) or 4. Nxd5, Qh4+; 5. Ke2 transposing into the rather dubious Pernau Gambit (sometimes called the Keres Gambit because he played it a couple of times in his youth) 1. e4, e5; 2. f4, exf4; 3. Nc3, Qh5+; 4. Ke2, d5; 5. Nxd5.
I have recently be studing the Falkbeer Coungergambit in the King's gambit.
To learn more, I played agaisnt a KG - playing 1600 and then made an Analysis.
