I like to play against the london, because I get to play a Dutch
the london is actually one of the more effective ways to play against a dutch so you just played yourself kinda

IMO the kings Indian is not like the London at all. Sure, the moves to get to the tabiya position are automatic- but the resulting structures revolve around many dynamic and positional plans. Meanwhile in the London the structure hardly ever changes, and when it does change, it is always the same change. Meanwhile in the kings Indian, you can choose from open center (exd4), closed (e5), benoni (c5), etc…
I agree that the King's Indian has more potential for dynamism.
Though the London also has potential to reach dynamic positions, and to change quite a lot. It depends on who is handling it.
Consider this, for example:
Looks like a fun game, with a lot of potential imbalances, to me.
The problem is that a lot of players approach the London in the same way (with the same pawn structure and same move-order), which gives it a reputation for being so repetitive.
But really, the only main requisite for the London is to have a pawn on d4 and an early bishop deployment to f4 ... all the rest of the pawns and pieces can go anywhere the player wants ... assuming they can get away with it ...
A lot depends on what black plays.
The Dutch can also lead to some interesting London positions ...
Does playing it make your breath not stink?
I brush my teeth every day for the recommended two minutes and my dad still says my breath stinks so I guess it's no listerine
The London system is like the last little bit of toothpaste in your tube.
You spend a lot of effort trying to squeeze something out, but when it comes out (if anything does) it’s barely anything.
I hope my analogy made you smile or something lol
Well I sometimes play the London system myself, and there isn't much effort needed to play it

Apparently, flossing is also necessary to dig out the skuz between teeth as well. It's endless maintenance.
