The Sicilian Defence: An Inaccuracy?!?

I recently submitted a game for analysis by the chess.com computer, and after 1. e4, my response c5 was labelled an inaccuracy (for the record the computer suggested the French instead).  Can anyone explain why this engine is questioning one of the most common responses to e4 in chess?

I don't have any answer.

I beleieve some  chess angines are quite crude and just put a numerical value onto every possible move(up to probably 5) depending upon what pieces can be taken or what is lost (including dumb moves). Anything less than the best is 'inaccurate'. This makes them rather inflexible in the opening game. All it probably means is that making dumb moves after c5 might lead to more trouble than dumb moves after e6.

Engines aren't great with openings. Don't take it seriously.

It's better to review games on your own and THEN with an engine. Then you have at least 3 moves per turn to compare.

I wasn't planning on reading too much into it, but it just surprised me.  Usually at that stage it just says "book move."
