The sicilian dragon

Do u think the sicilian dragon is a good opening for black?

Abarai
So i think it is ok only because it is for positional people i like to play aggressive!
MrKalukioh
Its depends: yes, if you know what your doing. If not, and the white player does...it won't be pretty for ya. If your talking about the opening in general, I'd say its fine-it aint refuted, and its a good choice for players who like crazy attacking games.
Abarai
That is true.

I wouldn't say the dragon is very positional. It's a pretty agressive opening.

White usually gets his attack started first.  If Black can delay it, he can get some uncanny pressure down the c file and at the king.

The sicilian dragon is one of the sharpest sicilian lines. It leads to extremely sharp play when white plays the yugoslav attack against the dragon. This leads to exciting battles where the white team is trying to launch a kingside attack while black is launching a queenside attack.

In your example you have put blacks knight moving to d7. Normally Black would put his knight on c6 to put pressure on d4

as a player of the dragon, it can be played well if you keep ontop of the game, but it can get very nasty very quick if you misstep
