++ Yes, 4 Ba4 is played most nowadays.

I'd advise against Bxc6. The position then becomes a lot more static and imo dull. The whole beauty of the Ruy Lopez has a lot to do with the light-squared bishop and the structure after a6 Ba4 b5.
