I agree I don't really like the Ruy Lopez...I prefer more exciting games like the Dragon or the Danish Gambit.

Ruy lopez i think is not as interesting as other e4 as black plays e5 line.This is since both players can equalise almost after castling.so white really has to play soo carefully to avoid black equalising.Another reason is all the moves in ruylopez are the normal ones.So the black player can know what moves white can play.So white has to play vert accurately. would love other lines like marshall,which gives black a quick upperhand,philidor line which is also good and also scotch which i play alot.

I want to see more top level Caro-Kanns, so you could say I'm tired of seeing the Ruy. Even then, it's a refreshing breeze in the face of so many Slavs.
IS anyone else tired of the Ruy Lopez in top play? i love seeing a guy RL but after seeing it endlessly through Bilbao and Nanjing i keep hoping for a good Sicilian. Carlsen played the scotch even and that was fun
