I use the tortoise opening it helps me castle very fast i use it in every game that I can is this a really bad opening though.

Yes, but you can do the same except to put the bishop on c4 the bishop is better and you can still castle.

2...d6 is not the most testing answer: 2...Nf6 intending 3...d5 makes it harder for white.

At your level its quite alright, you keep all your pieces defended and castle, which is smart... However the bishop blocking the d pawn will cause you problems in the future and better players will easily be able to exploit that.

Oh Ok sounds good I  will continue using it but I will also look for other openings to use in the future does anyone have any suggestions?

Try not to put your bishop on D3, it is so passive on that square.

Ok

You can also play the Italian game which is the same but you put your bishop on c4 instead, immediately pointing at blacks' f7 pawn. Just make sure you defend the bishop if it comes under attack, because it's not defended like it would be on the d3 square. Or you can just bring both knights out before developing the bishop by playing 3. Nc3, just make sure to keep in mind that you need to get castled up soon.

Play london.
