I was thinking the same thing, @verylate , since we have two would-be Team Scandi volunteers already.  However, it should be noted that the Pirc (1. ..d6), Modern (1. ..g6), and Alekhine (1. ..Nf6) Defenses are all more commonly played than the Scandinavian (1. ..d5).

In any case, since we can't seem to draw any C-K players in this time, I think it's fine for a Team Scandinavian to organize.  If they can recruit seven players first, they can take the Caro-Kann's place.

We need the other team rosters to fill, though, or we'll never get started!  Come on, there have to be a ton of solid 1. ..e5 and Sicilian players out there.  I know there were at least a half dozen Scandinavian players who wanted in on the last two challenges.

If you want there to be a Caro team that bad, I'll play for them. you can withdraw me from team french if neccessary

Whichever 4th opening can get a full slate of seven players first gets that spot.  Whether it's Caro-Kann, Scandinavian, or Alekhine, I don't care.  Just get seven.

Those who aren't familiar should know this whole thing began when "Caro-Kann Nation" united against the French - and lost 10-4.  There used to be a lot of outspoken C-K players on these forums, but they didn't know the French (decent players all of them, just woefully misinformed as to how the French Defense works), and naturally they embarrassed themselves as a result.

@KMWS - Find other Caro players!  I figured @rychessmaster1 and @James-Nguyen would be back for this one, at the very least.  Check out the original thread:
