Von Hennig-Schara Gambit

So I started watching some chess videos and I came across this video on the Von Hennig-Schara Gambit:

Here's what he says is basically the "main line":

So at this point it goes on to a bunch of different variants and traps that occur.  The thing that gets me is that every variant follows with 9. Qd1 .  This happens in every example.  I was expecting the Queen to retreat to b3, but that didn't happen in any of his example games.

I tried to search for pro games where Qb3 was played, but Qd1 seems far more common.
I guess I could list all the ways that it seemed like I'd rather have the Queen on b3, but better players than I are putting it on d1.

The Queen on b3 avoids a lot of the shenanigans in the video (discoveries, rooks attacking the Queen, black playing Ba3, etc.).  So what sorts of tricks and traps does white have to look out for if he puts his Queen on b3 instead?
urk
I've played this gambit and I think 9.Qb3 is a better move, but White is not going to be able to take the b7 pawn for some time, due to ...Nb4.

   Very good video!

This variation is quite interesting. I used to play the Tarrasch Defense a lot a few years ago, and usually got some wild games with this gambit. There's a strange sideline where black plays b5 to deflect the queen after the check on a4. I found this game by a couple of top-level players:

Here's one of my tries with this gambit. Incredibly, I actually won for change!
